Message You will need a spring compresser to get the old assemblies apart without having the assembly pop apart and send pieces flying dangerously about. It may also come in handy when putting the new assembly together depending on what spring rate you get for the coil overs.

The quality and instructions of the baseic GC left quite a bit to be desired in my opinion. The instructions are less than explicit about which pieces exactly need cut where exactly and then put together again in what exact configuration. Also, the front sleeves were supposed to be cut for KYB AGX struts but the angle was wrong and so we had to cut and grind it just a little bit so that the sleeve would rest properly on the mount. Also, since I went with a conservatively soft spring rate, the car sat very low when the jacks were lowered. We ended up fabricating a 1" spaced to raise the rear sleeve, and we threaded each corner to the very top. You can see where the car rests now with that setting in my sig, and the car is leaning just slightly to the left in that pic so it would be a hair lower on a perfectly flat surface. Also, due to a bushing that was not compressed enough by just putting everything back together, we had to add a few additional washers to the top of the rear strut assemblies where the nut that holds it all together is.

Basically, it is not terribly difficult, but be sure to make sure everything is tight and secure. Also you may want to free up a couple days to give it a few test drives under different conditions and be sure that everything is working properly. I HIGHLY recommend that you get a set of adjustable front control arms (upper links) and possibly some rear adjustable control arms. My camber was eating through the insides of tires rediculously fast.
